Roz and Dan Oserin

 
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa.  After high school and some college, I decided on a career in the beauty industry.  I worked doing hair for a couple years, and then moved to San Diego in 1981 with my husband who had joined the Navy.  After re-taking California’s State Board exam I started doing hair here…hard to believe it’s been almost 30 years!  While working in the salon, I was hired by an Italian color company and taught hair color all over San Diego county in salons, as well as doing trade shows for 8 years. In 1998 I got the itch to have my own business…

 Along the way I’ve also raised my two children, Shauna, 24 who is mom to Nathan (20 months) and Dominic, now 20, who is working and attending college.    I married my current husband, Dan, in 2001.  Dan, Shauna and I all work full time in our salon…it’s a family affair!

We are an Aveda Concept Salon & Spa located in the downtown area of La Mesa.  When we opened in 1998, it was my dream to have a relaxing and friendly salon with highest quality services. 

I feel like we have reached that goal and now offer all facets of hair care including bridal styles and makep, all types of hair coloring and cutting, including corrective color (fixing someone else’s mistakes), spa manicures and pedicures, waxing, and several types of facials.

Because we know that the industry is ever changing, we have weekly staff training to keep up with new styles and perfect our skills, as well as attending classes given by Aveda.
